Making your own stationery - Part I: The Inspiration

The seahorse was thought to have mystical significance among Ancient Greeks, Romans, Asians and Europeans, with the Ancient Greeks and Romans tying the seahorse in to their sea gods Neptune / Poseidon, thus attributing the symbols of strength and power to the seahorse.

They are calm and gentle, happy with being simply ‘on their way’ to their destination, not rushing, not frantic, just enjoying the journey. When the ‘waters’ get rough, they wrap their tail around a stationary object and hang onto their ‘rock’ to anchor themselves.

Plus, the male seahorse is the one that gets impregnated by the female and gives birth. An interpretation of this in a couple’s real life is the concept of sharing on equal terms the forthcoming responsibilities. The symbolic meaning or Seahorse also carry the following significance:

• Good luck • Patience • Friendliness • Protection • Generosity/Sharing • Contentment • Perspectivity • Inflexibility • Persistence • High Perception

All the good values that we are aiming for!
