Our top gains, Week 01

The journey to parenthood has just begun and we are all in. We have been preparing ourselves for many months, but as first timers you can never be ready enough. During the previous months we tried not to exaggerate on spending and buying until we knew for sure that something was indeed needed. Week 01 was more about getting to know our little girl -our mega gain- a lot of cuddles, sleepless nights, first time parents' anxiety and trying to do everything we were told as best as we could. Let's have a look on some of the items we purchased and ended up using a lot this first week; it's mostly gear!

1) Tommee Tippee Electric Steriliser. Fast and super easy to use, even during the most sleepless nights where you are crawling between rooms with your eyes shut, fulfilling tasks mechanically.

2) TOMY Boon LAWN large baby bottle dryer rack. Along with the steriliser, this boon lawn follows as one of the biggest investments. A practical counter top bottle drying grass-looking rack, ideal for drying utensils, whether bottles, dummies or baby cutlery as it keeps them upright for quick air drying. Easy to clean.

3) Swing Flex™ Pump & Save Breast Pump Set. One of the most innovative and popular electric breast pumps combined with a complete solution to pump, store and clean. They normally recommend 'wait until you establish a good latch before start pumping some milk'. I started since week 01 and never had a problem. I assume this changes from person to person so advise your midwife or lactation consultant first.

4) ThermoPro TP55, Digital indoor hygrometer thermometer, temperature & humidity monitor, room moisture meter. Ensuring a healthy indoor environment for our little one.
