Our top gains, Week 16
The past couple of weeks we have started preparations for our move. The final countdown is officially ON! I still can't believe we are leaving for the summer, or for what seems to become more likely forever. We haven't been away from London for longer than three weeks for almost a decade. So that will definitely be a whole new adventure. Alethea will be almost six months by the time we are settled in Cyprus for the summer, beginning to mid June. Therefore, at the moment I am purchasing all my favourite toys ahead of time just in case I won't be able to find them abroad. I am planning to keep them in boxes and ship them home just before we make a move. For those who follow my posts for a while now, you probable know how I am such a Little Dutch fan. I try not to overdo it, but sometimes it's almost impossible. Sweetness overload all over their toys!
1) Little Dutch, Rainbow Abacus in blue. Designed to make counting fun! A huge maths fan over here. On the cart, instantly!
2) Little Dutch, Wooden Building Blocks - Adventure pink. As an eternal architecture lover, all toys of this kind are simply a must in our home!
3) Little Dutch, Wooden Building Blocks - Pure & Nature. Puzzles and anything to promote building. Still in our list of favourites. Straight to the cart!
4) Liewood, Thomas play-phone - Rose. Alethea simply loves mobile phones -unfortunately. Whenever I take a selfie of the two of us, even when I am convinced she is sound asleep, I discover soon afterwards that she is always looking straight to the camera -no matter what. I assume it must be extremely intriguing to her. Her reflection in a tiny rectangular thingie, captured through the eye of the little lens on the back. It's quite impressive, indeed. She will now have a phone of her own. Also a teether and a toy. Voila!
5) Liewood, Neil Cup - Sandy. This beautiful training cup, I simply fell in love with its simplicity. Our paediatrician recommended to start mixing a couple of drops of expressed breast milk in our water cup when the time comes, to gradually incorporate a bottle -after month six. Unfortunately, our baby doesn't like any bottles, anything made out of silicone or rubber. It's been a long battle! Let's see.
