A Woman is Human.
There is a certain power in looking silly and ridiculous and not caring that you do. Earlier today, I was shopping around when I witnessed a very uncomfortable incident. A spouse was being judgemental and manipulative against his wife’s appearance in regard with her stylistic choices. It killed me(!) I don’t usually criticise in social media, but on the occasion of the recent ‘celebrations’ of the international women’s day I took the opportunity to express my discomfort about the matter. I wonder; really man? Women all over the world are ‘fighting’ for gender equality while nearby a single woman is struggling to have a look at a shirt she likes. Nobody should feel that their needs don’t matter. And no one has the right to be opinionated about anyone’s appearance in such a negative way. Controlling mansplainers are only insecure men -or occasionally women by extension- that try to put you down. Don’t let them. And there goes a cliché: “In my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person will still think the sun shines out your ass. That’s the kind of person that’s worth sticking with.” I love the way my man sees me. I consider myself lucky. And I’ve got a pretty big ass! We both love it. Shall never be ashamed of who you are!
